Administration Specialist
(NFA) is a Government agency established under the National Forestry and Tree
Planting Act, 2003 as a corporate body responsible for sustainable development
and management of Central Forest Reserves (CFRs) and provision of technical
support to stakeholders in the forest sub-sector.
Stores Supervisor will be responsible for managing the stores, ensuring security
and safety as well as proper management of all stores items.
- Receiving
all materials, items, stocks and general supplies purchased. - Ensuring
safe custody of all items in the organization’s store. This is done by
keeping items in the right place which is the store and in the prescribed
manner. - Ensuring
that issuance of items and materials in the stores is against fully signed
and authorized stores requisition forms. - The
applicant will be keeping accurate records of all items received
and issued in the stores to maintain and establish the stock value of the
organization’s stores assets. - Ensure
that there is stock control and monitoring of items in stock in order to
minimize the institutions cost of administration, avoid stock out of items
and maintain continuous supply to the requesting departments/user sections
whenever demanded. - Ensure
that there is maximum cooperation with other departments in order to
receive their input regarding the details of what should be expected,
supplied and delivered in the store within a given period of time. - Ensure
prompt feed back to the immediate supervisor regarding stock movement,
levels, periodical consumption levels of each division or department and
the general condition in the store. - Conduct
monthly stock counts to present to his/her supervisor and Senior
management accountant. - Ensure
replenishment of stock at the right lead time. - Responsible
for the planning, organizing, coordinating and budgeting for the store
management function. - Perform
any other activities as assigned by the Supervisor.
- The
ideal candidate for the aforementioned NFA career placement should an
honours degree in Purchasing and Supplies/Stores management. - At
least two years’ experience in a similar position in a big organisation. - High
level of integrity and attention to detail.
