client, an insurance brokering company.
Resource and Administration Manager will guide and manage the overall provision
of HR services, policies, and programs. She/he will be expected to originate
and lead HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented;
high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity,
and the development of a superior workforce.
- In
charge of designing and implementing systems for identifying key skills, specialty
skills and propose training needs accordingly. - Actively
coordinate continuous and company-wide training needs assessments. - Maintain
up-to-date recruitment progress report, talent database and all related
staffing communication. - Process
all local recruitment requests in an effective and efficient manner. - Carry
out Performance appraisal for all
staff, direct reports & ensure it is done for the rest of the
production areas. - Keenly
track competencies of staff and provide leadership and development as
required to achieve performance objectives. - Intuitively
review office operating procedures, drafts revisions and process
improvements and new standard operating procedures in line with the
organization Uganda standards. - Manage
the project operations on administrative and procurement compliance and
performance issues while providing guidance to staff. Ensure that
established policies and guidelines are adhered to, specifically for HR,
Procurement, ICT, Administration and security protocols. - Carry
out Health and Safety drills and refresher courses, environmental policies
systems and processes. - Update
workman’s compensation data in liaison with insurance service providers. - Actively
monitor and alert Senior Management Team of any variance between the
budgeted and actual salaries and ’headcount. - Responsible
for payroll administration and to make all necessary co-ordination to make
a smooth and efficient operation (variable compensation, overtime,
expatriates compensation, special payments). - To
detect and handle complaints, disputes and grievances of all staffs. - Issue
and update staff employment contracts to ensure all are labour law
compliant
- The
ideal candidate should hold a University degree in Human Resource
Management, Business Administration or Social Science with a bias in Human
Resource Management. Possession of a Post-graduate qualification in Human
Resource Management or related field is added advantage. - At
least five years’ HR experience with at least three years at Managerial
level. - Preferable
to have experience in financial services industry.
