Job Summary: The Greenhill Academy Head of Department
(SST and Sciences) will play a lead role in the department by initiating,
promoting and sustaining close working relations between the teachers and
pupils. The position also includes a monitoring and evaluation role.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor, track and evaluate
individual pupil and class progress in the subject, analyzing and
providing remedies for the causes of poor performance. - Actively participate in the selection of
teaching staff, coach, train, mentor and evaluate staff within the
department to ensure that the quality of teaching is excellent. - Technically support the development of a
culture of creativity, innovation, encouragement, support, challenge that
will effectively develop people’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural
aspects so that they can be prepared for adult life. - Regularly review teaching materials and
methods, text books and recommend ways of improving the curriculum and
quality of teaching. - Responsible for training and mentoring
staff in the department.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a diploma
in Education. - A minimum of three or more years’ teaching
experience. - Advanced knowledge in Microsoft
application packages - Advanced knowledge of National Curriculum.
- Working knowledge in Assessment and
Evaluation.
