Job Summary: The BOA Credit
Analyst – Business Centre will be developing and analyzing timely, fundable
credit proposals with quality credit appraisal, structuring and due diligence
so as to support the building of a thriving and quality business portfolio.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Work
    in liaison with the Relationship Managers, develop sound and fundable
    credit proposals that meet credit committee approval requirements and
    support the growth of the Bank’s on / off Balance Sheet Business and other
    related revenue streams.
  • Evaluate
    customer needs and propose suitable credit proposal structures for the
    various (prospective & existing) customers, and collaborate with
    Relationship Managers to complete quality origination and appraisal of
    prospective business with the aim of building a quality portfolio and
    minimising Non Performing Assets.
  • Make
    site visits and meet with principals of businesses being considered for
    credit in order to better understand their businesses, and confirm
    securities and other pledges where necessary.
  • Assess
    customers for any extra needs and advise Relationship Managers on possible
    cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to expand wallet-share and
    develop clients to their full potential
  • Ensuring
    that credit proposition processing and approval is fast and efficient, and
    is within the agreed Bank customer charter standards, while maintaining
    high quality of work measured by the number of approvals against number of
    rejects/appeals monthly.
  • Work
    in liaison with the Relationship Managers on the maintenance of up-to-date
    client files, including client performance analysis and the latest
    financial/commercial information as agreed.
  • Ensure
    that all files under own control are timely updated with correspondences
    from/ to clients, well maintained and contain all relevant sections as per
    BOA credit policy.
  • Receive
    and resolve customer queries and complaints, and provide them sound
    business advice and quality service.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Banking
    or a relevant field
  • Certification
    in credit management is desirable
  • Possession
    of Professional qualifications in Finance or related fields e.g. ACCA,
    CFA, CPA is desirable
  • At
    least two years’ experience in risk analysis for financial products
  • Working
    knowledge and interpretation of industrial and national economic trends
  • Strong
    financial acumen and business acumen
  • Solid
    and proven credit risk analysis skills
  • Strong
    customer needs assessment, negotiation and facility structuring skills
  • High
    customer centricity
  • Strong
    business risk awareness
  • Keen
    attention to details
  • Strong
    presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess
    the ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced and results driven
    environment
