Affairs has been given the mandate to maintain a peaceful, safe and stable
Uganda by the Ugandan Government. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is made up
of Departments and Directorates of which each plays a vital role in the overall
responsibilities of the Ministry, The main Departments and Directorates include:

Commission
Officer for performing the following duties:
- Processing
travel documents, work and residence permits. - In
charge of border patrol. - The
Trainees will be compiling Immigration statistics. - Perform
investigations regarding immigration matters. - Issuing
of entry and exit visas. - Perform
any other duties that may
be assigned from time to time.
- The
Immigration Officer Trainee should be a Ugandan who possesses an Honours
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering - The
applicants should be highly results oriented with good code of ethics and
a high degree of personal integrity - Possess
excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills - Basic
Computer knowledge - Possess
the ability to adapt to multi-cultural setting, innovation and concern for
quality and standards, Self-awareness.

- Pass
the described physical fitness and health tests in accordance with the
Laws of Uganda. - Successfully
undergo the immigration specialized training for a maximum of nine (9)
months at Government expense as a pre-condition for appointment.
