Job Summary: The Senior
Accountant will be responsible for the intuitive review, posting and
maintenance of the general ledger. The incumbent is also accountable for the
timely preparation and posting of all journal entries, ensuring reconciliation
of all the General Ledger accounts and related schedules.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update
and maintain the General Ledger accounts and supporting schedules in
accordance to the period close process. - Fixed
Asset accounting/ register maintenance. - In
charge of filing and making monthly VAT, PAYE and NSSF returns - Responsible
for coding, matching and capturing financial data into company ERP
accounting system - Keenly
review monthly account reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items
are appropriately resolved - Support
the Manager in preparation of periodic financial and regulatory reports - Actively
coordinate the preparation of audit work papers
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
Senior Accountant should hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance,
Statistics, mathematics, economics, or computer science - Full
or part professional qualifications with CPA, ACCA, CIMA or related - At
least five years working experience in similar role - Working
knowledge of Sage Evolution or other ERP system. - Prior
audit experience with Accountancy firms will be an added advantage - Excellent
analytical and problem solving skills - Good
communication and interpersonal skills - Good
application of Technical knowledge to practical issues - Team
work - Possess
the ability to work under pressure and minimum supervision to meet tight
deadlines.
