Aikan HR Consultants seeks to recruit for its valuable client, Oscar
Industries Limited are a privately held company in Uganda and are manufactures
of scholastic and office paper products of different grades.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop the overall company production
    strategy.
  • Ensure the implementation of the approved
    company production strategy.
  • Intuitively monitor and report the
    progress of the implementation of the approved overall company strategy.
  • Develop and update the company’s
    production operation procedures.
  • Ensure the implementation of the company’s
    production operation procedures.
  • Initiate improvements in the production
    and supply logistics operations.
  • Steer, develop and motivate the company’s
    production managers.
  • Be accountable for the overall performance
    of company’s production functions.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold a University
    Degree in Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • Management qualifications in Operations
    Research, Statistical Quality Control and Statistical Process Control are
    an added advantage.
  • At least five years’ technical work
    related experience of which two years are in an Operations Managerial role
    in a manufacturing or process operation environment.
  • Possess the ability to analyze and solve
    problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in
    oral and writing.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to steer and deliver set results.
  • Ability to lead, work with and through
    teams.
  • Ability to think at a strategic level.
  • Ability to pursue high standards of
    excellence in line with agreed policies and procedures.
  • Ability to identify and appreciate the
    values, concerns and feelings of others.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and organize.
  • Ability to identify and provide learning
    opportunities that enable others to reach their full potential.
