Bank is a fast growing Bank in Uganda offering a wide range of financial
solutions to its chosen market segments.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • The PM runs complex project portfolio of
    DFCU from design and development to production.
  • Defines requirements and plan project
    lifecycle deployment.
  • In charge of planning and scheduling
    project deliverables, goals, milestones, and Key Performance Indicators
    (KPI’s) from a program- as well as business perspective.
  • Ensures that all the technology projects follow
    the standard procedures and governance structure that are used in the
    management and deployment of projects (Prince 2).
  • Ensures that benefit realization of the
    projects is being managed closely.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and
    contingency planning.
  • Directs and oversees project team and
    manages conflicts within group.
  • Performs coaching to team-members and
    provides team assessments and evaluations.
  • Recruit, hire, and oversee training and
    orientation of all staff members involved in the execution of the
    project-portfolio.
  • Efficiently identifies and solves program
    issues.
  • Develops Requests for Proposals (RFP) for
    external services.
  • Designs and maintain technical and project
    documentation.
  • Responsible for stakeholder management
  • Cultivate and grow existing relationships
    with vendors with the goal of ensuring sufficient space and resources, and
    access to services.
  • Develop and implement strategies that will
    maximize the synergies among program areas.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should hold PMP
    (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Also, possess a Bachelor’s Degree or
    higher in Engineering, Technology or related field.
  • At least five to ten years of project
    management or IT Management.
  • At least three years’ experience
    coordinating and/supporting IT business processes.
  • Program/Product Managers require
    scheduling and budgeting experience.
  • Strength in hiring, managing, developing,
    coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate
    their levels of responsibility, span-of-control and performance.
  • Significant experience with deployment of
    Core Banking Systems, CRM infrastructure, Workflow Management systems and
    Document Management systems is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
    skills.
  • Personal qualities of integrity,
    credibility, and a commitment to and passion for DFCU ambitions.
  • High appreciation of Banking Business
    operations.
