About UAEHB:
The Uganda Allied Health
Examinations Board (UAHEB) was established by the BTVET Act 2008 to streamline,
regulate and coordinate examinations and awards in the Allied Health Profession
in Uganda. It is composed of thirteen (13) members drawn from the
constituencies involved in Health Training, Stake Holders and Professionals.
Job Summary: The Deputy
Executive Secretary is the deputy to the Chief Executive Secretary of the Board
and is responsible for the provision of day to day high level financial,
overall operations, managerial and administrative support to the Board.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Be
    the secretary to the Board in the absence of the Executive Secretary and
    shall be responsible for recording of all proceedings of the meetings of
    the Board and its committees.
  • Keep
    custody of all records and documents of the Board
  • Participate
    in the preparation of the examination results in a timely manner
  • Keep
    sequential record of examinations and results
  • Actively
    participate in the development of the rules and regulations on the conduct
    of examinations
  • Participate
    in the preparation of the Allied Health examinations
  • Prepare
    timely feedback on examinations to schools
  • Take
    part in the mobilization of resources for the Board
  • Make
    preparations for the local and international meetings
  • Ensure
    that local and international research is carried out
  • Carry
    out all such other things as are necessary to achieve the objective and functions
    of the Board
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicants should hold a Master’s degree in education or medical
    education.
  • A
    minimum of ten or more years of employment experience, five of which
    should have been at management level in ah Allied Health Training
    institution.
  • Demonstrable
    experiences in setting, moderating & marking written technical
    practical and applied knowledge/theoretical examinations
  • Excellent
    communication skills
  • Creativity
    & innovative skills
  • Excellent
    supervisory abilities
  • Proven
    administrative skills with ability to make quick decisions
  • Mental
    alertness with high powers of observation and inquisitiveness
  • Possess
    the ability to build strong and be able to work in Teams

    coaching skills with ability to build strong Institutions
  • Critical
    thinking and high analytical skills
  • Ability
    to work independently
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills
  • High
    level of integrity and professionalism
Age limit: Between 45 to
60 years
