Bank Manager Product Development and Research will be responsible for
administering and managing the Bank’s Product Development and Research Unit
based at Head office.
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will design and review prototypes for new financial
products and services, present prototypes to the Bank’s Product Steering
Committee for review and approval and participate in testing the prototypes
with the targeted customers.. - Prepare product proposals complete with
financial projections and set targets and draft product pilot test and
rollout protocols and submit for review and approval. - Draft Executive Committee and Board papers
for soliciting new products approvals, prepare/ review product FAQ’s and
Answers Write-up’s for both existing and new products. - Responsible for the development of cost
effective and efficient Collaborative Credit Schemes for delivering the
Bank’s credit products in partnership with organizations and/or companies. - Carry out feasibility studies for
establishment of new service outlets including Branches, Service Centers
and off-site ATMs in line with BOU guidelines and the Bank standards. - Conduct Business and Market intelligence
and reviewing the market events monitoring reports. - Actively participate in the preparation of
the Bank’s product development and research strategic and annual operating
plans. - Manage the performance of the Bank’s
Product Development and Research Team ensuring that each team member is
appraised and mentored/coached to bridge identified skill gaps.
Experience:
- The candidates should hold Bachelor’s
Degrees in Economics, Finance and Accounting or Business Administration - A minimum of five or more years in the
banking industry and two years in a Product Development and Research Unit - Possess the ability to thoroughly
interpret financial statements and perform financial projections using
conventional and or best practice methods - Project planning and management skills
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal and
written) - Strong people management and leadership
skill - Data analysis using computer applications
such as SPSS and Stata will be an added advantage - Budgeting and strategic planning skills.
- Possess the ability to manage stakeholder
expectations and pursuasive in soliciting buy-in of ideas.
