supermarkets, construction, paper industries, plastic industries, hotels,
banks, chemical & pharmaceutical industries, hospitals, commercial and
trading houses and household covers etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:   
  • Take lead in identifying and targeting prospective
    agents in the market through various sources– these could be existing
    agents of other insurance companies as well as new agents from the market.
  • Develop a prospect list of agents.
  • Recruit and license them with Trans Africa to;
  • Meet the monthly recruitment and licensing targets;
  • Regularly communicate value proposition of Trans
    Africa to the prospects.
  • Ensure Training and development of each agent.
  • Activate the agent’s production within 45 days of
    licensing.
  • Ensure that monthly premium target assigned is met;
    New business and retention targets to be met.
  • Seek out new clients and develop clientele by
    networking and generate lists of prospective clients with the span of
    agents.
  • Constantly and consistently engage with the agents.
    Coach and guide them for increasing business.
  • Ensure that all dealings with clients and agents are
    compliant as per IRA and company guidelines.
  • Send timely reports as and when required.
  • End to end management of agents of the span in hand
    (max of 35) and support them in business closure as well as Key
    stakeholder management internally.
  • Intuitively monitors, reviews and evaluates the
    performance of agents against their goals for premium growth and
    retention, loss experience and target markets where necessary.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The suitable candidate should be having strong market
    knowledge and be an aggressive sales/ distribution professional.
  • Possess excellent relationship management skills
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
