Key Duties and Responsibilities: This job entails development of the
branch business and operations. The candidate would be the principle officer
for that location. The key responsibilities are as below:
  • Set up business operations and manage the business
    operations for the locations.
  • Put in place and manage a team consisting of
    underwriter/operations & marketing staff.
  • Set up an office and manage the office.
  • Build and run an operation that is compliant with
    IRA/internal/other regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage the branch P&L.
  • Ensure that the branch business targets are met.
  • Develop a network of agents/other distribution
    channels including banks.
  • Develop strong corporate business.
  • End to end management of the location.
  • Demonstrate business planning skills to achieve
    visitation & monthly sales targets.
  • Support brokers with product and business queries
  • Actively co-ordinate any marketing and promotional
    campaigns in line with HQ approvals.
  • Implementation of the organization’s general policies
    on the appointment, termination, renewal or reinstatement of agents.
  • Ensure proper accountability of the branch office in
    line with company policies of accountability.
  • Responsible for ensuring that there is a strong
    customer service mechanism in place and grievances are redressed
    immediately.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The ideal candidate should have five to seven years
    of insurance industry experience in similar roles
  • Hold a Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in
    related field
  • The candidates should be having strong market
    knowledge and be an aggressive sales/ distribution professional. He or she
    should be having:
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Team player
  • Good planning and strategizing skills.
