About REDS:
Rural Enterprise Development
Services (REDS) Ltd is currently implementing the USAID/Uganda Feed TF
Commodity Production and Marketing Activity (Uganda CPM). The activity contributes
to USAID’s FTF objectives of reducing poverty and under-nutrition by increasing
the quantity and improving the quality of coffee, maize, and beans produced and
marketed by small-holder farmers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Work
    in liaison with the Activity’s management and technical teams, grantees
    and sub-contractors so as to develop appropriate intervention packages
    that employ the appropriate level of resources to foster local ownership
    and transform relationships in the target value chains
  • Provide
    leadership, supervision and direction to eastern regional team, including
    day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and supervision.
  • Actively
    coordinate Activities interventions and identify strategies for effective
    execution of the Activity objectives.
  • Compile
    and submit accurate and timely project status report: monthly, quarterly
    and annual report
  • Contribute
    to the operationalization of an M&E system for each regional
    intervention towards meeting specific targets based on the Activity’s
    results framework
  • Work
    in liaison with the Activity’s management and the other technical staff
  • Actively
    contribute to the development of annual regional work plans;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    candidate should hold Degree qualifications in Agricultural Economics,
    Agricultural Business Management or business related studies
  • At
    least five years’ working experience in agriculture/marketing sector in a
    similar position of a reputable organization.
  • Five
    or more years in the field with technical experience  in agribusiness development in Uganda is
    required;
  • Highly
    developed project management and financial analysis skills;
  • Past
    exposure and experience working with market linkage programs preferred;
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and oral and written communication skills a must;
  • Possess
    the ability to develop well-written, cohesive analyses and reports;
  • Excellent
    track record of building strong client and stakeholder relationships;
  • Ability
    to generate innovative solutions in work situations;
  • Proven
    ability and experience working with and managing teams is essential
