Director, Investment Facilitation and Aftercare
(UIA), set up under the investment Code 1991 is a statutory agency mandated to
initiate and support measures that enhance investment in Uganda and to advise
Government on appropriate policies conducive for investment promotion and growth.
- In
charge of appraising investment license applications submitted to UIA - Intuitively
monitor licensed projects within the allocated sectors to ascertain their
actual investment, employment levels and any other related investment
issues. - Mobilize
and sensitize unlicensed investors. - Process
all facilitation inquiries from licensed investors. - Provide
aftercare care services to existing investors - Participate
in the Private Sector Investor Surveys and any other related surveys - Organize
and follow up on issues arising from the Presidential Investors Roundtable
(PIRT) Technical Working Group (TWG) meetings
- The
Investment Executive should hold a Bachelors’ degree in Economics, Commerce,
Statistics or International Business or BBA or the equivalent from a
recognised Institution - At
least three years’ experience in a Private sector or Government
Institution
