privatized in 1995 is now owned and run by the smallholder tea farmers of
Kyenjojo and Kabaroie Districts.

Job Summary: The Senior Internal Auditor will support the Manager
Internal Audit in carrying out independent appraisals and review on risk
management of all activities within Mabale Growers Tea Factory Ltd for
conformity with Accounting Principles, Financial Procedures and the Business
Policies and Best Practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting
risk based Audits on key business processes and projects as per annual
audit plan. - Analyze
data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in control or and extent of
compliance with statutory laws and regulations, management policies, procedures
and plans. - Offer
technical support in assessing potential areas of risk for Mabale Growers
Tea Factory Limited in viewing of systems, procedures and process. - Examine
the financial accounting system, inventory and management information
systems to determine their efficiency and content value. - Carry-out
follow up on audits recommendations for all audit queries raised as per
management proposed action. - Offer
support during the preparation of annual audit and assist in audit
planning. - Ensure
that Mabale Growers Tea Factory Ltd comply with occupational Health &
Safety policies and other procedures and take reasonable care for Health
and Safety of self and any other person who may be affected by omission.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
candidate should hold a Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting option.
Professional ACCA, CPA or Post graduate qualification - A
minimum of three or more years audit experience in large and busy firm is
preferred - High
level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality - Excellent
interpersonal, communication and report writing skills, - Strong
numeric, analytical, accounting and audit skills. - Self-motivated,
able to prioritize work and follow up tasks and issues to the end. - Advanced
computer literacy skills i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Email software,
PowerPoint). - Sound
knowledge of computerized accounting and inventory management systems.
