discussing, organizing, and meeting people near you, wherever you may reside.
Job Summary: The Brand
Engagement Manage r will be responsible for experiential and direct marketing
of OLX in all parts of the country.  The
role might also be called upon to help out in the initial setting up of new
countries in the region by delivering direct marketing initiatives to seed
content.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Develop and maintain
detailed below the line marketing plans:
  • Work
    in liaison with the marketing manager, develop periodical plans
    (6-monthly, and quarterly) for direct seller acquisition via diverse
    channels such as residential suburbs door to door engagements, community
    groups such as churches and through event promotions
  • Where
    necessary, design and develop highly impact events to “narrate the story”
    of the brand in an entertaining yet impactful way in delivering new
    sellers to the platform
  • Ensure
    the cost of the BTL plans align with the overall below the line marketing
    budget by monitoring each campaign’s budget to ensure delivery optimum
    results within budget
  • Treating
    each campaign as a learning opportunity, establish clear learning goals
    with detailed hypothesis to be tested and validated
  • For
    each campaign/activity, establish projections/goals in terms of expected
    outcomes and compare it to actual outcomes for each campaign.
  • Establish
    metrics in which to measure the success of all below the line (direct)
    marketing activities and implement these metrics across all campaigns.
  • Monitor
    direct marketing trends.  To
    consistently innovate and evolve the techniques of engaging with users
    directly for maximum ROI
2. Project manage the delivery
of all planned below the line marketing campaigns
  • For
    each campaign/project, develop detailed project plans with; Detailed
    schedule of activities from project initiation to close, Clearly a
    articulated hypothesis, Financials projections including projected cost of
    seller acquisition, Partners and their roles, Work instructions
    /guidelines of any temporary staff
  • Ensure
    that all campaigns are set up with a clear objective of increasing the
    number of sellers on the platform at the lowest possible cost. 
  • From
    scratch, design and develop relevant educational materials to directly
    communicate the key benefits of an online brand to the local communities
  • Oversee
    all aspects of the campaign delivery including; Recruitment, Training
    & Development of temporary promotion staff directly or through
    credible partners, Liaising with the publicity agent, media or internal
    communications department to ensure there is a clear media storyline of
    each campaign and that the coverage happens, Efficient resource allocation
    and optimization of the day to day activities during the campaign period,
    Effective briefing and management of partners and suppliers to ensure full
    alignment with the goals and plans of the campaign
  • Create
    relationships with community influencers and celebrities in development of
    key event participation partnerships
  • Build
    and develop relationships with direct marketing agencies and relevant
    vendors in order to deliver the optimum levels of performance and ensure
    continuous improvement.
  • Acquire
    vendors through competitive processes and negotiate commercial agreements
    with suppliers that seek to optimize acquisition of sellers at the lowest
    possible cost 
  • Seek
    collaborative education partnership with Government and non-government
    organizations at the local community level that can help optimize
    acquisition of sellers.
  • Actively
    coordinate the designing, acquisition and distribution of below the line
    merchandise and other relevant equipment such as tents and displays in a
    cost-effective way
3. Monitor, evaluate and
report insightfully:
  • Analyze
    campaigns applying analytical techniques to uncover the ROI of brand
    engagement activities
  • Document
    the key learning’s of each campaign with a focus of clear hypothesis
    validation
  • Share
    key campaign results and learning’s with relevant stakeholders for
    continuous improvement 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    candidate should preferably hold a good bachelor’s Degree in
    Communication, Journalism, psychology or related field
  • Two
    or more years’ experience leading/managing implementation of direct
    marketing campaigns (in particular acquisitions) and at least 2 years in
    line management
  • Public
    relations abilities -, Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Budgeting
    and cost monitoring
  • Possess
    the ability to rapidly build a team to deliver on a common goal
  • Excellent
    written and oral communication skills
  • Highly
    innovative out of the box skills
  • Highly
    organized team player who can multitask
  • Excellent
    proofreading, verbal and written communication skills
