Internet East Africa and is the next generation of free online classifieds
providing solutions to the complications involved in selling, buying, trading,
discussing, organizing, and meeting people near you, wherever you may reside. 
Job Summary: The Customer
Service Associate will primarily review user generated content and handle
requests from users. The role will be required to offer customer support via
e-mail, phone and social media platforms and possibly be involved in other customer
service related tasks. The incumbent will be expected to satisfy all customer
requirements and liaise telephonically with customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
1. Interact with users:
  • Phone
    and welcome first time users of the online platform 
  • Work
    closely with relevant role players in the event of complaints
  • Process
    and respond to queries from users via e-mail and phone
  • Educate
    users on how to use the online platform effectively to succeed
  • Build
    relationships with marketing team enhance the impact of marketing messages
    on social media
  • Shift
    environment, weekdays with shift work falling over the weekends &
    public holidays.
  • Responds
    to requests for customer service assistance via phone, email, social media
    (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Blog, Google + etc.), online chat or email.
2. Analyze and Improve :
  • Analyze
    trends on time taken to answer queries or frequently asked questions by
    users to devise ways of improving efficiency and impact
  • Support
    continuous improvement efforts by standardizing forms /templates within
    the user support operations
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The
    ideal candidate should hold a College Diploma qualification in
    Communication, Administration, Marketing or related field
  • The
    applicant must have the ability to deal with customers is essential
  • Highly
    computer Literate
  • Computer
    literacy i.e. Internet and email knowledge essential
  • Because
    of the variety and nature of assignments, we need you to be flexible and
    reliable.
  • The
    applicant must also be capable of handling stressful environments, be
    meticulous and punctual.
  • The
    applicants must be team members that are motivated, responsible to follow
    rules and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Previous
    work experience in customer care or on-line services is an advantage.
  • The
    candidate will be fully trained on site. The applicant must be fluent in
    English and Swahili. Possibly French
  • Skills
    in Planning and organization
  • Excellent
    communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Possess
    the ability to resolve conflict
  • Strong
    customer relations aptitude
  • Excellent
    facilitation skills
  • Possess
    the ability to work well within a team as well as independently
  • Strong
    problem solving ability
  • Ability
    to understand customers’ needs and know when to priorities
  • Good
    telephone etiquette
  • High
    tolerance for stress
  • Must
    be highly punctual
