Job Title:  Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About NUDIPU:
The National Union of Disabled
Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) is an umbrella organization promoting the rights of
Persons with disabilities in Uganda with the vision of having ‘a dignified
society for all’. NUDIPU exists to build a unified voice for PWDs for full
realization of their rights and inclusive development through support and
advocacy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Technically
    support the M&E function of the organization by developing systems and
    procedures.
  • Take
    lead of the data collection, analysis, and learning to ensure efficiency
    and effectiveness.
  • Offer
    technical support to the programme staff
  • Assist
    in the mentoring and coaching of staff in M&E.
  • Support
    reviewing and preparing monthly, quarterly and final narrative and
    financial donors’ reports.
  • Support
    grants writing and follow ups.
  • In
    charge of developing user friendly tools and for data collection and
    analysis
  • Monitor
    programme performance indicators and produce monitoring reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences or
    statistics or Information Management, Project Management, Finance or other
    relevant humanities (essential), Master’s Degree (desirable), a Post Graduate
    Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation is a MUST
  • Two
    or more years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation work
  • Computer
    literacy skills i.e. Proficient in Windows Excel, Microsoft Word and
    Access
  • Possess
    the ability to utilize both quantitative and qualitative analysis tools.
  • Ability
    to design M&E tools and systems
  • Demonstrable
    training and facilitation skills
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills
  • Past
    exposure and experience in working with non-governmental organizations is
    essential.
