Hygiene Management Project (MHM)

International Project Facilitator will carry out the day to day implementation
of project interventions in the field. Working closely with other members of
the project team and project stakeholders (local government, NGO partners,
communities) s/he will ensure that the project activities are implemented in a
timely and efficient manner. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for
day-to-day implementation of activities that contribute to improved Knowledge,
Attitude and Practice on Menstrual Hygiene Management, WASH and other Health
related interventions among children, youths, men and women.
- Actively
participate in developing monthly and quarterly project work plans, annual
project outlines and provide technical support in project planning and
budgeting; - Organizing
capacity building sessions for resource teams on MHM; - Take
part in the mobilization and sensitization of communities to access MHM
services; - Organizing
awareness raising activities including training of youths and adults on
MHM; - Support
and Strengthen school health clubs to take forward MHM in their schools; - Offer
technical support on MHM to community-based groups supported by the
project; - Organize
participatory project monitoring and evaluation sessions; - Participate
in the collection of data for the MHM project operational research; - Compile
timely activity and monthly reports; - Ensure
that the project documents are well maintained.
- The
candidate should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public
Health, Social Science, Social Work or development studies; - At
least two years’ experience of working in initiatives related to MHM; - Detailed
knowledge in participatory approaches to development; - Ability
to ride a motorcycle is a MUST; - Computer
proficiency i.e. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office programs including
MS Excel, MS Word and Microsoft Power Point; - Strong
skills in teamwork and networking; - Excellent
communication skills (written and oral); - Excellent
skills in documentation and report writing; - Excellent
negotiation and influencing skills in multi-cultural contexts; and - Knowledge
of Luo is a MUST.
