Job Summary: The Program
Accountant will be responsible for the provision of accounting management
support, design and monitor the implementation of Financial Systems ensuring
compliance to designated projects in line with Amref Health Africa, Financial
Policies, Procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    Program Accountant should preferably hold a good University degree in
    Bachelor of Commerce/ Business Administration/Science and Accounting, with
    a major in Accounting/Finance and or a full professional qualification in
    A.C.C.A, CPA or CIMA or equivalent. Possession of an MBA is an added
    advantage
  • At
    least three years’ post qualification experience.
  • Computer
    literacy i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SUN
    Accounting and Access is required.
  • Proven
    knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Internal Control
    Procedures.
  • Excellent
    written and Oral Communication skills are essential, and the incumbent
    must be a team builder, who is able to work successfully in a
    multicultural environment.
  • A
    high level of integrity is required.
