solutions to poverty, injustice and human suffering.
Coordinator will be responsible for the overall success of coordination and
communications activities among value chain, government, local media and
international actors as a member of a team managing a pilot project to increase
legume seed production, a five-year project designed to improve Ugandan
farmers’ access to government certified legume seed varieties.
- Steer
the field-level relationships and communications with key stakeholders
including seed growers/farmers, seed distributors, and local government
line ministries. - Significantly
contribute to identifying indicators in alignment with the pilot results
framework together with other pilot implementing actors. - Steer
the data collection for the indicators. - Support
the Team Leader in work planning and activity implementation to achieve
pilot targets in alignment with the budget. - Assist
the Team Leader in coordinating with the Pilot Verifier, taking
responsibility for managing and monitoring the Verifier’s field
activities. - Also,
support the Team Leader and Communications and Outreach Specialist in stakeholder
engagement activities such as the project launch, participant selection,
advisory committee facilitation, and compiling lessons from project
participants. - Provide
technical and logistical support to the pilot evaluator, including
coordinating and facilitating meetings with stakeholders and providing
access to pilot documentation and data. - Support
the Team Leader in preparing quarterly reports as well as documenting
challenges, opportunities, and lessons. - Communicate
and coordinate with LWR country, regional, and headquarters staff
(including the Marketing and Creative Services team), as well as with
donor. - Actively
participate fully as a member of the project team, including active
involvement in planning and review meetings, ensuring project staff members
are kept informed in all relevant programmatic issues. - Perform
any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- The
prospective LWR Project Coordinator should hold a university degree in
agriculture, agribusiness, community development or relevant subject. - Five
or more years of agricultural project management experience in Uganda,
with a minimum of three years with significant monitoring and evaluation
experience. - Proven
ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage time and
complex tasks, adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, identify
opportunities and challenges and propose appropriate responses or
solutions. . - Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and
internet tools. - Fluency
in English, with excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and
communication skills. Ability to speak at least one Ugandan language. - Ability
to travel up to 70% of his/her time within Uganda. - The

to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners. - Existing
authorization to work in Uganda; Ugandan national preferred.
