Christian international relief and development organization that has been
working in Uganda since 1989. FH’s primary goal is to respond to development
needs and complex humanitarian emergencies. In Uganda, FH is operational in the
communities of Pader, Kitgum, Lamwo, Agago, Kole, Kween, Mbale, and Mukono
Districts implementing programs in four main sectors of Education; Food
Security and livelihoods; Health/Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction; with
the Head office located it Kampala.
Coordinator will offer day-to-day guidance to the FH Uganda Clinic unit. The
Clinic Coordinator will be involved in the project implementation from its’
beginning until the end in four main areas: project preparation (including
proposal and budget development); relating the community to the clinic; follow
up of clients in the clinic; monitoring and evaluation of the project
(including reporting and budgetary management). She/he is also in charge of
providing high quality medical care to patients accessing the facility,
diagnosing patients, giving appropriate lab tests and prescribing medication
for clients. The candidate shall also manage clients’ second-line
antiretroviral therapy and the medication effects while advising accordingly.
- The
ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree with clinical or medical background
bias or any other related discipline from a recognized university or
institution. - At
least three to four years extensive experience in Clinical management
preferably within an INGO environment preferably in middle level
management. - The
applicant must have some training and clinic experience in HIV/AIDS
treatment centres and experience in HIV/AIDS Management. - Past
experience in people management with skills and knowledge on coaching,
mentoring and growing of people - Vibrant
personal relationship with Christ - Proficiency
in spoken and written English is essential. Ability to speak, read and
write Luo as a local language is an added advantage. - Possess
excellent computer skills in MS word, Excel, Power point, Access and the
internet (Skype and email). - Possess
the ability to interpret medical reports - Writing
and budget management skills with ability to conduct needs assessment and
write proposals. - Possess
the ability to maintain good communication with clients, donors, the
government, NGOs and other stakeholders.
