- Responsible
for managing construction operations on a project. - Actively
coordinates and schedules activities of departments within the
Construction family to ensure that support services are provided on a
timely basis. - Evaluates
and assesses the construction support requirements of the company as well
as develops and provides the types and levels of expertise and services
required to support construction operations. - Quickly
reports the operation status of the assigned organization to management.
Investigates technical and construction-related problems to determine
their cause and recommends resolution. - Offers
technical and construction assistance and support to projects. Performs
constructability reviews. - Interprets
code, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance with these
statues during construction. - Carries
out inspections and audits of construction activities to determine
conformance with specified requirements. - Analyzes
the construction program and recommends the appropriate types of
construction equipment including equipment for special processes. - Offers
instruction and training for special processes and procedures. - Offers
technical assistance and technical direction to business units. - Develops
procedures and programs for providing technical support. - Communicates
with company and project management as well as designers and client
representatives in the establishment and implementation of
constructability programs. - Provides
input to proposals relative to constructability. - Evaluates
the effectiveness of project constructability programs. - Trains,
schedules, and supervises subordinate construction employees. - Performs
all work safely in accordance with Fluor practices, actively participates
in improving safety in the workplace, and if/when supervising others is
responsible for their safety and safe work behaviors.
- The
applicant must have completed High School or GED - At
least five years’ directly related experience is required. - Applicable
Safety and OSHA certifications and training. - Past
exposure and experience with progressive and varied experience in
construction, technical, and engineering activities on large scale
projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent computer
literacy and skills in MS Office Suite required. - Working
knowledge of the concepts, methods, standards and practices of the
construction industry required. - Possession
of a Bachelor’s Degree or Trade School Certification is preferred - Past
Military experience, and contractor on the battlefield experience is an
added advantage - Prior
successful assignments in Africa and or with Department of State is
preferred - Fluency
in written and spoken English.
