Job Summary: The
Financial Controller will manage the day to day activities of the finance team
and ensure that the Company’s finance function is organized, efficient and
produces accurate Financial and Management Accounts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible
    for developing systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and
    effective management of the Company’s finances.
  • Using
    a financial control framework including financial accountabilities and
    authorities to ensure full financial control. To develop and control a
    centralized accounting system to ensure that accounts are effectively managed.
  • Serve
    as the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required
    information.
  • Ensure
    accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards.
  • Recommend
    changes that will improve the Company’s financial performance and financial
    controls.
  • Steer
    and participate in all financial operations of the company including
    reporting, forecasting, invoicing and cash management, accounts
    payable/receivable and payroll.
  • In
    charge of tax compliance including income tax and VAT.
  • Preparation
    of annual budgets.
  • Support
    the implementation of new processes and controls and the implementation of
    new systems.
  • Guide
    the Board of Directors on best practices in Business.
  • Able
    and willing to cut costs while maintaining efficiency in operations.
  • Control
    Company’s resources to prevent losses.
  • Lead
    a team of other Accountants.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    Financial Controller should hold a B.Com Accounting with ACCA.
  • At
    least three years’ work experience in distribution of Fast moving consumer
    goods.
  • Good
    computer literacy i.e. Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting
    software principles.
  • High
    level of integrity, self-driven, well exposed, a leader with good people
    skills.
  • Possess
    the ability to analyse company’s financial results with respect to
    profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
  • Strong
    verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong
    organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong
    interpersonal, management and customer service skills.
  • Possess
    the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines as required.
  • Keen
    attention to detail and commitment to accurate results.
  • Preferred
    Candidate should be aged 35 years and above.
