Integrated Development Initiatives (CIDI)

Initiatives (CIDI) is a National NGO that coordinates and implements several
projects in Uganda. CIDI works at the vanguard of community development
focusing on four thematic areas; water and sanitation promotion, sustainable
agriculture for food and incomes, health promotion, conflict prevention and
peace resolution. CIDI with branches across the country works amongst the poor
and vulnerable communities in both rural and urban areas to improve their
livelihoods.
Worldwide will implement a three year project in which is aimed at imparting
vocational skills targeting both young men and women of Karamoja in both on
farm and off farm activities. The project will be implemented in three
districts of Moroto, Napak and Nakapiripit.
- Responsible
for developing and maintaining good financial discipline in management and
accountability of the project operations. - In
charge of planning and producing budgets to the organization and advising
CIDI management and on budget implications. - Ensure
that all requisition procedures are followed and according to specified
budget lines at all times and that all CIDI internal control systems are
fully complied with. - Apply
your computerized accounting knowledge to keep all project accounts and be
able to retrieve reports any time they are demanded. - Ensure
that all books of accounts are properly recorded and kept up to date and
that all accountabilities and back up documents for expenditures of all
monies are properly filed. All monies expended in the project must be
fully accounted. - In
charge of compiling and consolidating the financial reports of the project
and be responsible for the project Audits as and when they happen. - Carry
out periodic monitoring visits to the field and ensure value for money. - Ensure
transparency and accountability in the use of program funds. - Keeping
a register of all organizations assets in the branch. - Perform
any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by CIDI authorized
management for furtherance of organizational goal
- The
applicant should hold a Degree in Business administration with accounting
option, Bachelor of commerce accounting option. - A
minimum of three to four years work experience in accounting - Professional
accounting qualification i.e. ACCA at least level II - The
applicant should demonstrate good financial management and accounting
skills - Excellent
organizational skills - Possess
good working knowledge of modern computer applications, computerized
accounting software and emails/internet skills.
