Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan
and perform various engineering assignments. - Manage
subcontractors. - Deliver
project in time and within established budgets. - Manage
various tasks, personnel and equipment to ensure timely completion of the
project within budget and adhere to specifications of the contract
document. - In
charge of the quality control of materials, workmanship and general
management. - Managing
the preparation of work plans and financial budget as required. - Monitoring
and evaluation of various sectors, activities to ensure timely
deliverables. - Offer
technical support in identifying staff requirement, leading to recruitment
and staff development. - Responsible
for the estimation and preparing material requirement schedules from
drawings, sketches, instructions and bill of quantities. - Analyzing
and making reports as required and share reports with various stake
holders - Works
in liaison with various consultants were ever there discrepancies. - Reporting
back to head office of any instruction that has financial implications. - Augmenting
and justifying the construction costs of most of the discrepancies that
might arise from specifications, or instructions or drawings. - Ensure
that checks are done and ensure that the drawings conform with good
construction practice and if not query the concern. - Ensure
good workmanship, taking and receiving results for items that require
testing and approval. - Ensuring
the safety of the site. - Guide
organization on any legal matters on technical issues. - Responsible
for the preparation of project’s cash flow projections. - Preparation/approval
of monthly/fortnightly project budget requests. - Perform
any other duties that may be assigned by superiors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Building &civil
engineering. Project management and valid driving license are added
advantage. Must be registered Engineer with Engineers Registration Board. - A
minimum of 13 years’ experience in a supervisory positions, and at least
must have supervised two industrial Construction works, or factories with
specific knowledge of steel frame constructions. - Excellent
analytical skills, high level of prioritization, strong interpersonal
skills, ability to work under pressure, must be able to work in Pader
district, Full time, must be available for immediate employment.
