Frontend will oversee the performance of the Front end team of the Loan
processing centre in line with the Barclay’s policies and procedures.

- Ensure
that all inbound and outbound are received, recorded, vetted and
dispatched in line with laid down procedures - Intuitively
review daily MI on status of all inbound and out bound (including fraud
check escalations/rejects, vetting rejects, assessing rejects and loan declines,
etc) loans within the loan processing chain and forward to the required
stake holders. - Ensure
efficient management of all complaints and queries received at the
helpdesk end to end i.e. from receipt to resolution with the set
timelines/Service Level Agreement - Ensure
team adherence to timelines within the service level agreements (SLAs) to
ensure efficiency and quick turn around time (TAT) in loan processing. - Ensure
that loan vetting officers undertake vetting of loan application end to
end for purposes of accountability within the process
Regulatory Control-15%
- Assign
snap checks to team members and ensure close-out of identified issues - Ensure
the safe custody of loan applications received and dispatched by the
frontend team through proper tracking system of inbound and outbound
courier. - Ensure
team adherence to loan vetting processes and procedures including KYC and
sanctions compliance etc for all loans vetted. - Actively
communicate any changes in Retail Lending policy to team members to ensure
that they are implemented as required.
Control and Analysis:
- Ensure
appropriate up skilling of the Loan frontend team of by conducting
on-the-job coaching and training - Drive
productivity within Frontend team by directing and controling workflow - Develop
and agree individual and team performance standards and targets. - Intuitively
review individual and team performance against agreed objectives. - Ensure
team development by Identifying training needs of team members and
recommending training plans to satisfy those needs. - Actively
motivate and build own team - Initiate
disciplinary process for team members where required in line with the
Barclays Disciplinary and Grievance procedures
- Share
best practice and any red flags that are a result of the front end loan
processes. - Support
other members of the Credit Operations management team when required to
ensure business continuity and achievement of business targets.
- The
ideal candidate should have three or more years’ banking experience with
at least a year and half’s
experience in Credit Risk role - Hold
any credit/finance/accounting/ Risk accreditation - Good
working knowledge of the bank’s lending policies, principles and procedures - Detailed
knowledge of the Personal Sector credit risk policies, risk pricing, risk
management procedures and tools - Sound
knowledge of the bank’s lending criteria in the Small Business and
Personal sectors and the products/services relating to them - Good
knowledge and understanding of the segment specific products and services - Detailed
understanding of the bank’s performance management techniques - A
good appreciation of the bank’s products and service - A
detailed knowledge of the International Credit manual, BMIS User manual,
Barclayloan/Personal Overdraft User manual and Guide to management of Risk - A
good understanding of regulatory lending requirements and standards - Skills
