Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET)

Network (AFENET) is a non-profit organization established in
human health through the strengthening and expansion of applied epidemiology
and laboratory capacity in partnership with Ministries of Health, Non-
Governmental Organizations, international agencies, private sector and other
public health agencies. AFENET has its headquarters in Kampala, Uganda with
operations in more than 16 countries.
Head of Administration will be responsible for supporting the operations and
prevail over the administration function of the organization.
- Managing
people and performance - Responsible
for operations support and services function to the various current and
upcoming organization’s local and country programs and projects. - In
charge of the coordination of the Human Resource function for the
Organization. - Work
closely with the country offices, coordinate the administration budget
process, and program work plan implementation; - Offer
guidance to management on appropriate Property Development plans. - Coordinating
AFENET biennial conferences and support other regional and network
meetings/conferences
- The
candidate should hold a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration, Human
Resource management, and or Management with proven experience in
Administration and people management at senior level. - Five
or more years’ of post graduate experience in similar responsibilities. - Membership
to Professional organizations and certification is added advantage. - Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in the use of relevant Microsoft Office
computer applications - Building
staff competence, creating an environment of creativity and innovation,
promoting enabling environment for open communication and good client
relationship. - Development
and advocacy of viable strategic plans and concepts for Improving
organizational performance results, Challenging the ‘Status Quo’, Solving
Problems and Encouraging Creativity. - Proven
excellence at planning, organizing and monitoring and must exhibit high
level of analytical skills. - Good
working knowledge and understanding of global social security, knowledge
of procurement and supply processes and employee insurance requirements. - Ability
to speak French and or Portuguese is an added advantage
