About USAID RWANU Project:
Concern Worldwide Uganda is recruiting for three positions for the
USAID-funded PL 480 Title II Development Food Aid programme called “Resiliency
through Wealth, Agriculture and Nutrition” (RWANU) in Karamoja. RWANU focuses
on two strategic objectives to reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural
populations in selected sub-counties in 4 districts of Karamoja.
Job Summary: The HR Officer
will be responsible for providing technical support in human resource
management in accordance with Concern policies to the field offices of Moroto,
Nakapiripirit and other locations as may be established from time to time. The
incumbent will be responsible for staff welfare, HR operations, performance
management and administration.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should hold a good
    Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Management studies with a post
    graduate diploma in Human Resource Management or Bachelor of Human
    Resources Management.
  • At least three years’ experience working
    in an NGO setting and must be a person of high integrity that will model
    Concern’s core values.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of HR
    functions, reporting and record keeping requirements, knowledge of related
    computer applications and the Country labour laws.
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. possession
    of ICT skills is an added advantage.
  • The incumbent should possess effective
    communication skills, works with minimal direct supervision and has the
    ability to work with and engage other staff at all levels.
