- Spear Motors Limited – Franchise distributor and dealer in Mercedes Benz, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Deutz Fahr brands in Uganda.
- Wavah Broadcasting Services (WBS) – A private television station.
- Star Times Digital Satellite Television Service – A digital satellite distributor of television signals in Uganda.
- Spear House – An upscale office building on Jinja Road, in Kampala’s central business district.
- Wavah Water Limited – A manufacturer and distributor of drinking mineral water in Uganda.
- GM Tumpeco Limited – A manufacturer and fabricator of steel products, including number plates, traffic road signs and billboards. Also, furniture, spring mattresses, uniports, wheelbarrows, truck and bus bodies.
- Fancy Furniture Limited – Importer and distributor of high-end office and household furniture.
- Wavah Books Limited – A publisher of school text books and other writings
- Nakweero Mixed Farm – A diary, beef and crop farm in Nakweero, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and assists in the hire of new members of a dynamic sales team.
- Process all the sales and follow up of a number of key accounts
- Grow the volume of existing sales, and generate regular sales reports
- Leverage special events and marketing opportunities to sell products at high volumes.
- Successfully test and pilot new products (Water products).
- Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting individual consumers, retail distributers, and
- Complete/ review and use market studies to locate and target potential consumers and distributers that are either; a) Not aware of the products b) do not have access to easily purchase them.
- Harmonize with other divisions/ departments to expand product coverage and limit overlap.
- Develop and conduct ongoing training programs that provide a high level of product knowledge and continuing business skills development.
- Suggest reviews of compensation structure that actively motivates sales team members and generates a high level of sales efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
- A minimum of three or more years’ experience in a sales managerial role in a busy organization, preferably in a FMCG company.
- Strong business and sales experience with good quantitative and analytical skills.
- Highly ambitious, sales oriented individual who can take initiative approach to operational management.
- Very flexible individual and willing to work under pressure.
