Service Providers Network (LASPNET)
Network (LASPNET) is a national member-based Non-Governmental Organisation
established in Uganda to harness, strengthen, and sustain synergies among Legal
Aid Service Providers (LASPs) in complementing Government of Uganda’s efforts
for enhancing access to justice. Therefore, the LASPNET Secretariat coordinates
the implementation of shared activities among LASPs with major focus on
improving the quality of service delivery, monitoring and evaluation
frameworks, policy reform approaches, capacity building initiatives, and
various strategic mechanisms in setting legal aid agenda.
Executive Director will play a lead role in liaison/representation by
initiating, promoting, and sustaining close working relations with LASPs,
government, the Justice, Law and Order Sector (JLOS), civil society
organisations, and the public. The position also includes a monitoring and
evaluation role.
- Responsible
for Human Resource Planning, Development and Review; - In
charge of the strategic Management and Organisational Development; - Foster
a Shared Voice, Visibility, Accountability and Sustainability; - Responsible
for all Donor Relations Building, Stakeholder and Membership Affairs; - Information
Management, Communication, and Documentation; - Innovation,
specific projects and all other related tasks as may be assigned.
- The
Executive Director should hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Law,
Development Studies, Economics, Project Management, or other related post
graduate education; - Also,
hold a Bachelor’s Degree from recognised academic institutions; - A
minimum of seven or more years of similar work in Uganda and across
Africa.
