lawyers, undertake research in topical legal issues, contribute to legal
reform, produce legal publications, teaching materials, law reports and also
provide community legal services. Some of It’s key functions include;
- To provide legal training to lawyers and
non-lawyers - To research into topical legal issues and
recommend proposals for law reform - To provide law reports and legal
publications - To provide community legal services
LDC Publishers will offer overall administration and management of the
Publishers Unit, plan and coordinate and ensure that the production and
printing processes are efficiently and effectively run and costs of production
are minimized.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for innovating processes for
ensuring profitability and cost effectiveness. - Developing strategic plans and budgets
that conform to the business plan. - Working closely with customers in need of
printing services. - Responsible for coordinating, monitoring,
evaluating and controlling production processes to ensure that production
activities conform to specific quality, standards, specifications and set
targets and comply with production policies and regulations. - Establishing and monitoring production
schedules to meet production/departmental objectives - Preparing, compiling and submitting
production and financial reports/information to the LDC Publishers Sub
Committee of Management. - Compiling and submitting periodic
production and financial reports to the Secretary. - Supervising production and technical staff
of the Unit and appraising their performance regularly. - Ensuring motivation, training and
development of staff in printing processes. - Perform any other duties as may be
assigned by the Head Human Resource and Administration from time to time.
- The
candidate should hold a good Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Production
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Graphics Art from a recognized
university. - Post
graduate training in management and printing technology from a recognized institution. - Possession
of a Masters of Public Administration and Management, Master of Graphics
and Postgraduate Diploma in Public
Administration and Management, Human Resource Management is an added
advantage. - A
minimum of eight or more years’ work experience in printing, production
work and managing people, 4 years at strategic level. - Proven
technical and managerial competences in printing, production and
management. - Highly
computer literate in Graphics and Microsoft Office Packages. - The
applicant must be a person of high integrity.
