FINCA Plus LLC a subsidiary of FINCA International is a product distribution company with a primary social mission of the provision of quality, affordable, cost saving and sustainable life enhancing products and services to underserved, low income people.
FINCA PLUS will initially provide renewable energy solutions to low income households and businesses eventually expand into other areas that enhance the basic quality of life of ordinary Ugandans, such as water, sanitation and health.
Job Summary: The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for the achievement of set targets within specific business channels, sectors and regions. The core functionality will be sales and account management, acquisition of new markets and business opportunities in assigned territories in order to deliver predetermined sales and market penetration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement distribution channels and joint venture partnerships to reach low income households/businesses
  • Identify, recruit and train energy entrepreneurs and distributors in the assigned territories as per assigned targets
  • Supervise, motivate and monitor team performance
  • Generate sales leads and educate/communicate on FINCA PLUS ‘ LLC product portfolio and support services
  • Oversee and foster relationships through regular visits as per regional allocation
  • Actively co-ordinate customer access to financing through FINCA Uganda for both energy entrepreneurs and end-user consumer.
  • Ensure FINCA PLUS LLC branding presence (product availability, branding and signage) as per corporate retail visual identity (RVI) j
  • Guide on forecasting of stock orders and ensure sufficient levels
  • Responsible for record sales, order information, and own sales information
  • Gain a clear understanding of customer businesses and requirements
  • Compile and submit regional reports and update on sales trends to highlight key issues and trends
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in all channels of client interactions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The candidate should hold a good University degree in Business, Social Sciences or related discipline
  • Three to five years; experience in sales and sales management preferably managing retail or distribution networks
  • Result orientated and able to work under pressure to achieve organizational goals
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficiency in all MS office programs (word, excel, powerpoint etc.)
  • Excellent time management and communication skills (both verbal and  written)      
  • Good leadership, interpersonal and people management skills
  • Ability and willingness to coach and mentor teams
  • Self motivated and able to work with limited supervision
