We are bidding for Northern Uganda: Transforming the Economy through
Climate Smart Agribusiness a UK Department for International Development funded
project which is an initiative to provide agricultural market development and
climate technical advisory services delivered in line with the Making Markets
Work for the Poor (M4P) approach to improve the lives of small holder farmers
in Northern Uganda.
Job Summary: The Finance and
Administration Manager will primarily ensure the effective functioning of
financial operations and systems of the programme. They will work closely with
project staff to provide financial monitoring and undertake administrative
duties where required.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must be a professionally
    qualified accountant with an internationally recognised certification e.g.
    ACCA/ACA.
  • At least five years’ experience in finance
    and administration.
  • Prior experience working in an
    administrative capacity for a large donor projects, preferably with DFID.
  • Past experience in procurement.
  • Possess the ability to multitask and
    attention to detail.
  • Significant experience working in Uganda.
  • Past exposure and experience in working on
    grant funds and grant due diligence desirable.
  • Ability to work in a tight knit team.
