Job Summary: The
Barclays Performance Consultant-HR will primarily deliver and implement
basic/technical and soft skills training and development processes that will
effect return on investment through improved individual and business
performance. The jobholder will be required to provide focus on people
development through delivery of robust and world class training in various bank
related training courses ranging from retail, products, operations,
risk/rigour, credit etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Training Delivery 70%
  • Delivery
    of training and development needs of our people within BBU arising from
    TNA,  change and business as usual
    activity, advising on recommended approach/actions
  • Grow
    the effective delivery of curriculum using cost effective methodologies,
    taking potential, cultural, educational and technological issues into
    account and substantiate, to meet defined performance outcomes
  • Establish
    monitoring and evaluation of all training activities conducted to ensure
    improved performance and return on investment for the business
  • Actively
    facilitate, co-ordinate and deliver training programmes and coaching.
  • Up
    skill and coach team leaders in people development
    skills/knowledge/initiatives.
  • Pursue
    your own development to increase personal effectiveness acknowledging
    strengths and areas for development.
  • Research
    and update information on training subject areas and maintain up to date
    training material for allocated courses
2. Administration 30%
  • In
    charge of the preparation for training calendar of activities
  • Involvement
    in developing training curriculum
  • Reporting
    to Learning and Development Manager on progress against each training
    programme
  • Collation
    of training MI to assess impact of trainings and performance
  • Oversee
    the collation of all attendance records and evaluations for all courses.
  • In
    charge of monitoring and evaluation of programmes to ensure the right
    people are developed, their performance improved and that there is a
    return on investment for the business
  • Consult
    with the business functional leadership, line managers and HR Advisors to
    establish priority needs
  • Share
    best practice with, and provide feedback to, the business leadership on
    people related
    Work with HR and business leadership to identify and implement Learning
    initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must have proven expertise in certain banking areas e.g. branch
    operations, Operations, IT systems, Risk/Rigour, Credit, Barclaycard
    operations, Products (ranging from Corporate to Retail), customer service
    and Sales
  • Past
    exposure and experience as a Volunteer trainer or evidence of previous
    training activities or delivering extensive presentations  
  • Skilled
    as a facilitator of learning and development interventions
  • Exceptional
    interpersonal/relationship building skills
  • Highly
    effective written communication
  • Proven
    planning and organisation skills
  • Possess
    the ability to work under pressure, self discipline and motivation
  • Willingness
    to utilize personal time for training preparation or travelling
  • Well
    developed assessor skills are an advantage
  • Exceptional
    coaching skills are desired
  • Strong
    project management skills
