AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) seeks to end pediatric HIV/ AIDS through research,
advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs. We are a global leader in the
fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 15 countries and at 7,000
sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to
help those already HIV infected. Today, because of the highly successful work
of the Foundation and its partners over the last 25 years, pediatric AIDS has
been virtually eliminated in the United States and new infections in children
have declined by 51% worldwide.

various donors. It plans to implement regional integrated health programs
(RHITES) project upon winning the contingent of funds from USAID.
Technical Advisor will serve as lead technical advisor; provide strategic
guidance in development, implementation and management of evidence-based
programming for malaria prevention, treatment and control that is in
line with MOH recommended standards and organizational best practices.
She/he will work with MOH and district health teams to facilitate the
integration of malaria prevention and control activities including case management,
strengthening Intermittent Presumptive Treatment for pregnant women etc. She/he
will also participate in capacity building of the district and site teams for
appropriate delivery of malaria prevention and control services in the
districts of support.
- The
ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
Degree and a Master’s in Public Health - A
minimum of five or more years’ experience in malaria prevention, control,
and case management - Significant
experience in malaria and/or public health, with experience in health
programme design, implementation and coordination - Good
program management skills including program monitoring and evaluation,
budgeting, strategy development and ability to work effectively with
partners and stakeholders. - Past
exposure and experience collaborating with Ministries of Health and other
implementing partners on the implementation of technically sound public
health programmes, including malaria control prevention and treatment
interventions - Demonstrated
in-depth understanding of Ugandan decentralized health care system. - Excellent
analytical, communication and report writing skills.
