Job Summary: The USAID
Grant Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor will have primary responsibility to
develop and implement monitoring and evaluation activities for all components
of the project. The candidate should have experience and competence in the
development and implementation of project performance monitoring plans, have
both strong qualitative and quantitative evaluation skills, and significant
experience with multiple types of evaluations – impact evaluations, process
evaluations, and formative evaluations. She/he will develop M&E capacity
within the team and implement processes of data collection to support
performance monitoring and evaluation therefore ability to develop good human
relationships and deliver training and development to team members will be important.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate should hold a Masters degree in a relevant field
  • Additional
    Training in monitoring and evaluation methods.
  • A
    minimum of five to eight years relevant experience in project monitoring
    and evaluation, research and survey implementation
  • Past
    exposure and experience in designing M&E systems for USAID projects
    (preferably water and sanitation)
  • Prior
    experience in measuring the effectiveness of behavior change communication
    on health outcomes
  • Proven
    ability to develop M&E capacity and processes within a project team
    both in the field and project office.
