Job Summary: The Field Sales Assistant will support the implementation of sales and marketing activities in the designated region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Merchandising to ensure adequate brand visibility in stockist outlets.
- Responsible for stock management at the distributor level.
- Impart product knowledge to counter sales staff.
- Building long lasting business relationships with customers and all stakeholders in general.
- Identify, organize and implement marketing activities within the designated region.
- Monitoring, collecting, collating and reporting competitor marketing intelligence information in the designated region.
- Regularly generate and submit accurate and timely reports that detail sales, market intelligence and business opportunities available in the market place.
- Analyzing competitors’ reports on marketing activities and coming up with tactical interventions and defensive plans.
- Acquisition of sales orders to maintain and grow business for the organization.
- Market development within the region.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health, Animal Production or Animal Science. Diploma in Marketing Management will be an added advantage.
- One to two years relevant experience in a busy animal health oriented sales & marketing environment.
- Self motivated with the ability to work without close supervision
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, good negotiation skills, self-driven and result oriented.
- The applicant should have a high degree of personal integrity.
