Benedictine Eye Hospital (BEH) is a Specialised Private Not-For-Profit Hospital of the Benedictine Fathers of Uganda offering high quality Eye Care Services and Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities.
About Project:
Benedictine Eye Hospital is implementing a five year project for the elimination of blinding trachoma. This project is funded by Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust Fund through a number of partners including CBM, an international NGO committed to Building an Inclusive Society. Benedictine Eye Hospital will be implementing the project in the districts of Bugiri, Namayingo, Namutumba and supervising project operations in Nakapiripirit district on behalf of CBM. The aim of the project is to reduce the burden of Blinding Trachoma in these districts by at least 65%.
Job Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for driving and safety on the road for self and project personnel during travel and take care for the project vehicles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct all errands, safaris and any other activities that involve driving.
- Assess the mechanical condition of project vehicles and take the necessary actions to repair, service and any other required maintenance.
- Keep track and record the vehicle usage and maintenance of vehicles.
- Keep the project vehicles clean.
- Actively participate in any other project duties, activities and functions as directed by relevant project authority.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The Driver should have the necessary qualifications and skills to perform the aforementioned job duties
