Organisation that specialises in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Services
for pharmaceutical products and health commodities.
Relations/Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and
implementing strategic communications plans and initiatives that promote a
positive image of MAUL and the PSSP project
- Develop
and implement a comprehensive strategic, pro-active communications plan
that positively positions MAUL and the PSSP project among all key
audiences. - Guarantee
the services provided by MAUL and PSSP are clearly communicated to all key
audiences to promote general public understanding of the organization. - Develop
effective press releases and collateral materials including, but not
limited to, executive pro-files, fact sheets, position statements,
brochures, calendars, etc. - Ensure
all external materials are consistent and contain MAUL messaging/branding. - Manages
crisis communications planning so MAUL is prepared to response to critical
issues and concerns to ensure MAUL’s reputation is protected. - Maintain
and continuously update the company’s website. - Work
with departments across the organization to develop quarterly and annual
reports for dissemination to various stakeholders, including initiating a
quarterly newsletter for sites. - Oversee
the day-to-day operation of the function, including responding to
inquiries from the press, the public and other interested parties. - Organize
and oversee promotional events such as press conferences, exhibitions,
tours and visits. - Establish
and maintain effective working relationships with the media, donors and
government officials. - Develop
policies and procedures related to public relations and communication. - Maintain
company archives of various communications and PR materials - Direct
and manage the corporate responsibility team that manages the company’s
outreach programs and partnerships.
- The
candidates should have at least three to five years’ experience working as
a journalist in print or broadcast. - Holds
a bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, management,
business or media studies, marketing or behavioral sciences. - Past
exposure and experience serving as an organization’s spokesperson is a
plus. - A
PR postgraduate qualification - Good
understanding and knowledge of social media channels – how they operate
and their relative value. - Familiarity
with media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and
methods. - Working
knowledge of the structure and content of the English, language, including
the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. - Excellent
communication skills, both oral and in writing. - Excellent
interpersonal skills. - Ability
to think strategically and creatively and solve problems. - Excellent
facilitation and presentation skills. - Good
IT skills. - A
self-starter who can take the initiative. - Ability
to prioritize, plan effectively and multitask. - Ability
to maintain confidentiality and good ethical conduct. - Ability
to work under pressure.
