recruit for its valuable client, a leading Health Supply Chain Management
Organisation that specialises in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Services
for pharmaceutical products and health commodities.
jobholder will provide technical support in designing and implementing
healthcare logistics and supply chain management systems, processes and tools
for Essential medicines, HIV related commodities and to strengthen the capacity
of partners and districts in line with the Ministry of Health guidelines.
- Take
part in the joint national forecasting and quantification, supply planning
with all stakeholders in HIV logistics for medicines or laboratory
commodities to determine the national needs. - Actively
participate in assessment of Laboratory and drugs logistics systems at
national and health facility level and support in the design of corrective
interventions to address the identified gaps. - Take
part in the capacity development of pharmacy, stores and laboratory
logistics staff through joint trainings and mentorship as well as
orientation on any inventory and records management tools and processes as
established by the MoH. - Offer
technical resource in assisting the health facilities in the
implementation of the MoH web-based reporting system for HIV commodities
and any other initiatives that seek to automate logistics processes to
enhance supply chain activities. - Develop
a unified information management system for health commodities and support
the implementation of a unified monitoring and evaluation system for
health related commodity management. - Jointly
work with the MoH; districts and Regional pharmacists in refining adopting
supervision tools.
- The
candidate should hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy, Post Graduate qualification
or Master’s degree in public health, supply chain management, operations
management. - Four
to five years of professional experience in Procurement, quantification,
forecasting and supply chain management. - High
level of demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS applications,
Forecasting and Quantification methods at the national level to argument
the current team. - Excellent
interpersonal communication skills and ability to advocate and bring about
consensus with senior government officials and other stakeholders. - Past
exposure and experience working in HIV/AIDs programs. - Prior
experience in logistics/supply chain management and/or public health
commodities, especially ART commodities including the provision of
specific technical assistance. - Past
experience in systems, processes, and tools development and
implementation. - Experience
as a trainer in logistics and supplies management for at least 4 years. - Significant
experience in SCM quality review
