Systems Analyst
- Supporting the installation and
troubleshooting for LANs and WAN in Local Governments. - Updating/upgrading the network operating
systems. - Integrating PFM networks with other
networks. - Supporting in systems analysis, design and
their development of systems in Local Governments. - Maintaining interfaces within PFM and
other systems. - Providing application to user support.
- Carrying out quality assurance on the ICT
related aspects of the system in the Ministry to maintain databases
recovery, fine-tuning and backup’s verifications. - Ensuring physical and logical security of
the computer-based systems. - Monitoring compliance of various IT
policies. - Ensuring that Local Governments maintain
IT libraries (CDs, manual, documentation). - Providing capacity building and training
for the ICT staff at the various PFM systems Local Government sites. - Perform any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time
- The
Principal Systems Analyst should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s
Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Computer Science plus a
minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology or Computer
Science or Information Technology related field from a recognized
University/Institution. - Professional
IT certificate in MCSE/Oracle and knowledge of accounting packages. - At
least six (6) years working experience in the field of Information
Technology and Management, three (3) of which should have been served at a
Senior level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a
reputable Institution. - He/she
should have well-developed skills in financial data analysis, ledger works
and Information Technology.
