• Supervise
  the work of the project accountants
• Ensure
  all financial transactions are properly recorded and reports availed on
  time.
• Ensure
  a functional and effective internal control system,
• Offer
  technical guidance and assistance in budget preparation and variance
  analysis
• Provide
  support in training, technical assistance and skills development of
  project staff in operational financial management for the sectors
• Ensure
  timely project financial reporting, payroll monitoring and oversee finance
  and operations personnel.
• Ensure
  that financial reports are always ready timely for the review and approval
  by the team leader. Work with audit firms appointed to ensure project
  Audits are properly and ethically conducted.
• Be
  the chief custodian of the projects Finances
• Ensure
  regular bank reconciliations of project Finances are conducted

• The
  candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or
  business administration with a specialization in accounting/ finance plus
  at least a stage II of ACCA/CPA qualification.
• At
  least seven years’ experience of 7 years in an accounting/ finance related
  position with at least 2 years as a finance Manager is required.
• Specific
  experience handling multiple donor projects will be an added advantage.
• Proven
  experience in international Donor financial reporting will be an added
  advantage.
• Team
  work and leadership skills
• Ability
  to work under minimum supervision.
• Computer
  literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and at least 2 accounting
  packages including QuickBooks.
• Highly
  effective communication skills.
• Excellent
  problem solving skills and a quick learner.
• Possess
  the ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple,
  concurrent demands and appropriately prioritise responsibilities.
