About US:
The Motorcenter East Africa Ltd started as Go Nissan Ltd in 2005 as a dealership for Nissan vehicles and Suzuki motorcycles. The 3-S dealership with sales, service and showroom facilities had a mandate to promote and manage the Nissan brand in the Entebbe area. By mid 2006, the Entebbe market was saturated and as part of the growth strategy it was decided to expand our product and geographical mandate. We sourced for brands that would bring value for money to our market, and entered into distributor agreements with manufacturers in China and Thailand.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a division or significant program area.
  • Oversee the strategic projects and build, develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Select and oversee software installations and managing relationships with software vendors
  • Control income, cash flow and expenditure.
  • Manage and supervise the finance team
  • Playing a key role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
  • Financial modelling, analysis and presentation of findings to senior stakeholders and executive team
  • Compilation and preparation and review of the monthly business performance report
  • Ensure compliance of tax processes
  • Development and refinement of management accounting and reporting structures.
  • Implementation of the business strategy plan
  • Ensure adherence with group policies and procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The Finance Manager should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Statistics, Commerce or related degree from a recognized University
  • At least five years’ experience in finance management in a large corporate business
  • ACCA /CPA qualification
  • Possess the ability to translate financial concepts to – and to effectively collaborate with — programmatic and fundraising colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds
  • Excellent track record in grants management
  • Technology savvy with experience and knowledge of accounting and reporting software
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Person of high integrity and credibility
  • The applicant should also be comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadline driven
  • Strong analytical, modelling and commercial reporting skills
