Organisation that specialises in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Services
for pharmaceutical products and health commodities.
Job Summary: The System
Analyst will primarily manage information and communication technology and
database systems needs for the organization by maintaining the computer
networks/systems of MAUL, ensuring
that they run smoothly and providing technical support and advice to computer
and database users.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning,
recommending and supporting the development of systems that improve
security and performance in MAUL IT Infrastructure. - Responsible
for database development and maintenance. - Improving
the effectiveness of the database tools and services by monitoring data
entry requirements of system users. - Planning
and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades of hardware and software. - Investigating,
diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults. - Ensuring
computer equipment is safe from electrical faults. - Updating
and maintaining records of software licenses. - Managing
stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies. - Ensuring
implementation and commissioning of new computing and communication
equipment. - Coordinating
and managing ICT services outsourced to third party vendors. - Ensure
system security by establishing reliable and safe network across MAUL. - Continuously
updating users on relevant ICT upgrades, maintenance and system changes
that will interfere with their daily use. - Maintaining
current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and
resources - Ensuring
regular back up of MAUL IT files. - Ensuring
disaster recovery plans are in place to enable business continuity. - Identifying
and preparing hardware for disposal when appropriate.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
candidate should possess a good bachelor’s degree in information
technology or business degree with post graduate IT qualifications - At
least three to five years’ professional experience in information and
communication technology and database development with a reputable company
in a busy environment. - The
systems analyst must be proficient in the use of Database Software
Management like Oracle, SQL, XML, Java - Skills
in Windows 2012 Server Operating System - Possess
basic knowledge on ERP Integration - Skills
in networks administration and Security Management - Web
and E-mail Applications Management programs like web browsers and e-mail
clients - Excellent
coordination skills. - Excellent
communication skills. - Good
working knowledge in IT hardware and infrastructure support - Skill
and knowledge in Data Management and Security - Strong
problem solving and analytical skills.
