Job Summary: The Logistics Operations Manager is the focal point between demand and supply in ensuring supply continuity by pro-actively mitigating against potential stock outs and ensuring warehouse space availability. This is done by consistently driving for OTIFNE of above 90%
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for inventory management and control of Beer, spirits, pallets, returns from trade, and transaction with Packaging and customer service.
· Offer a logistics management capability for the rollout of supply chain and Logistics improvement initiatives.
· Supervise the loading of finished goods to distribution efficiently without any product loss.
· Responsible for the management of the 3rd party Logistics Services Providers and accountable for the performance management of 3 people against pre-determined KPIs.
· In charge of the coordination and planning to ensure efficient and continuous supply from production, inbound logistics and satellite warehouses.
· Analyses and decipher key constraints (e.g. storage space, obsolescence, transport hitches, soft demand, and mechanical breakdowns) to create a realistic storage and distribution channel.
· Ensure accurate system processing in order to have uninterrupted supply and demand drive.
· Manage the stock take processes.
· Works closely with Business Information Systems to ensure System is delivering expectation
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The Diageo Logistics Operations Manager should be a Graduate in Business administration, logistics and supply chain management, advanced diploma in logistics management.
· At least three years’experience and Knowledge in supply chain management preferable in FMCG industry.
· People Management Experience
· Skills in structured and organized- able to handle time effectively and prioritize conflicting issues and decision making
· Ability to influence others and self-motivated
· Good communication and negotiation skills
· Resilient and energetic
· Excellent analytical and numerical skills
· Computer literacy i.e. Proficient in Spreadsheets (Excel) applications
· Good knowledge and understanding of the business in terms of the products, customers, consumers, internal ways of working and industry complexities is crucial to the delivery of this role.
