Job Summary: The Diageo Technical Operator – Packaging will be responsible for efficiently operatingg a packaging process machine to produce high quality EABL products/services to meet both local and international standards in a safe environment and at the lowest cost
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a packaging line process machine as per manufactures stated operating procedures to produce product that meets stated quality requirements as per the quality standards
- Conduct scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure targeted plant reliability
- Carry out basic quality checks through product testing, rectify anomalies and recommend for corrective action
- Ensure process and component waste are below target
- Consistently keep process records as required by the quality systems
- Ensure safety requirements for self and those working around the machines are rigorously met
- Does on the job training for new joiners
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should possess an Ordinary Diploma in electrical/ mechanical or instrumentation engineering
- Two or more years’ experience in a FMCG environment
- Past exposure working on a shift system (24hr rotational)
- Skills in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical and Instrumentation)
- Skills in operational system support skill as defined in the capability matrix
- Be a good team player.

- Physically fit.
- Accommodative.
- Time conscious.
- Change agent.
