Job Summary: The Manager IT Services Management will be responsible for administering and managing the Bank’s ICT services that comprise of infrastructure, databases, computer equipment, IP Telephony system, the Local Area Network (LAN) and the Wide Area Network (WAN) in line with the Bank business plan and ICT policy. Track, monitor and report on IT Projects and manage the IT help desk. Manage, monitor and enforce external and Inter-Departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in accordance with set standards and ICT policy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the planning, implementation, management and maintenance of all the bank’s databases in line with the bank’s policy and Provision of technical support and training for all database management systems.
· In charge of planning and implementation of ICT projects in line with the Project Management Plan, ICT policy and best practices.
· Plan, monitor and report on the preventive maintenance, servicing and repair of ICT computer equipment for the Bank in line with the activity plan and ICT Policy.
· Plan, monitor, review and maintain the Banks ICT asset inventory, supervise the setup and installation of new systems and confirm they comply with recommended Bank standards.
· Prepare and maintain Disaster Recovery systems, conduct research and periodically review the ICT hardware specifications in line with the DR Plan and ICT Policy.
· Carry out staff performance appraisal, arbitration and evaluation of performance needs in accordance with ICT strategy and Human Resource policy.
· Plan, design and monitor implementations, upgrades and reviews of the Banks Wide Area Networks in line with the ICT Strategic Plan and ICT Policy and effect required documentation
· Plan, enforce, monitor, and review inter-departmental Service Level Agreements (SLA) and SLA’s with external service providers and ensure compliance in accordance with the set Bank standards.
· Steer the training and orientation of all Branch IT Supervisors
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should possess an honours’ Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or a related field
· Professional CCNA certification
· Additional Project Management Certification (PMP/PRINCE 2)
· Five or more years’ working experience, 2of which should have been in a similar Busy IT environment
· Practical experience in; Repair and maintenance of IT equipment, deployment of IT staff resources, allocation of IT equipment/resources and acquisition/termination of IT service provider services
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Good budgeting skills
· Good Leadership skills
· Positive attitude and interpersonal skills.
· Proactive and able to work independently with minimum supervision
