South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi completing the East African circuit in
the year 2012. Today, the Group has the largest branch network in the region
with over 238 branches, 950 ATMs and 8,000 agents offering banking services on
a 24/7 basis in East Africa. KCB Bank Uganda was established in the year 2007
and has grown to become one of Uganda’s top ten commercial banks. Currently KCB
Bank Uganda has 14 branches complemented with 16 ATMs spread on Kampala Road,
Commercial Plaza, Ben Kiwanuka, Luwum Street, Oasis Mall Sixth Street, Arua,
Elgon Masaba, Fort Portal, Gulu, Hoima, Lira, Mbarara and Jinja that offer
trade financing, corporate and retail banking services to customers.

 Job Summary: The
E-Channels Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, leadership, growth,
and profitability of alternative channels (Mobile Banking, Internet Banking,
E-payments card business, money transfer services) within the Banks Retail
banking Division.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Formulate
    and execute the e-channels Business Strategy in alignment with the KCB
    Uganda Business Strategic Plan.
  • Offer
    strategic, direction and pace to the e- channels team across the bank.
  • Develop
    and implement growth profitability models for each delivery channel.
  • Monitor,
    drive and analyze overall e-channels performance against target to ensure
    achievement of business targets.
  • Identify
    business expansion opportunities and review requests for new business
    outlets, ATM expansion in liaison with the branches and Regional managers
    to expand the market share of e-channels Business.
  • Steer
    the reviews and implementation of quality operations standards, risk
    management and compliance in every delivery channel with the ultimate aim
    of reduction of operating costs.
  • Train,
    Coach, mentor and develop a high performing team with clear
    responsibilities and accountabilities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must hold a University Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Possession
    of a postgraduate degree or professional qualification in a related field
    will be an added advantage.
  • Six
    or more years’ proven experience in Banking Channels, product development,
    Sales, Credit and Bank operations functions of a commercial bank at a
    managerial level.
  • Significant
    experience operating in a multi-channels customer facing environment is
    essential.
  • Past
    exposure and experience in the identification and management of new
    Channels expansion opportunities.
  • Excellent
    influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to positively and
    dearly communicate with a variety of constituents.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills and ability to establish new client relationships and
    generate new business.
  • Possess
    strong leadership skills with demonstrated competences in championing
    customer focus, and in managing people in multi-cultural environments
  • Excellent
    planning, problem solving and analytical skills
