Manager is responsible for all Uganda operations and Business development
within the aviation and fuel division of SKA Uganda’s operation. He is responsible
for all aviation and ground related activities within the airport; inclusive of
Ramp Management, Passenger Services Management and both general and SKA
specific Aviation Operations. He plays a key role in the interface with Uganda
Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (SCAMA), and represents them in many
forums.
- Developing
constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and
maintaining them over time whilst translating or explaining ICAO and IATA
regulations and how they are to be used - Coordinating
with Uganda CAA for AOC requirements - Communicating
with people outside the organisation, representing the organization to
customers, the public, government, and other external sources. - Providing
timely information to management, co-workers, and subordinates. - Analysing
information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve
problems. - Keeping
up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge. - Developing
specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and increase revenue
stream for SKA. - Developing,
designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems or
products. - Responsible
for Business Development for bulk fuel operations/sales - Set
project logistics policy in all areas of fuels management.
- The
applicant should possess a Master’s Degree or Equivalent in Business
Management, Economics, Oil and Gas, etc - Current
residence in Uganda - Ten
or more years’ General Management Experience, 5+ years industry related
experience - Proven
technical experience in the interpretation and use of military fuels
automation systems and civilian fuel management systems - Proven
technical experience in the interpretation and use of military fuels
automation systems and civilian fuel management systems - Past
exposure and experience managing bulk and retail fuel operations for
similar sized projects - Attained
training and hold IATA Aviation Management Professional Certificate or
equivalent - Possesses
the ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations - Previous
managerial experience in a fuels field of 5 years with a proven track
record of results. - Possess
the ability to develop and maintain written policy and procedures - Leadership
and Management skills - Computer
skills i.e., Microsoft office - Extensive
experience in petroleum operations logistics or management discipline
considered a plus - Skill
and knowledge in implementing, analysing and evaluating fuel reports,
quality control and safety programs - Communicating
with people outside the organisation, representing the organization to
customers, the public, government, and other external sources. - Skills
in analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best
solution and solve problems. - Keeping
up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge.
